Lake Louise and Columbia Ice Field

This summer, I went to Banff with my mum, my sister, and my aunt. On our way to Banff, we went to the Lake Louise. It is a very nice place, and we spent two nights in the Fairmount Hotel at Lake Louise. The purpose of this trip was take my aunt to travel around Canada. My aunt was come from Spain, and she decided to spent her vacation with us in Canada. When we arrived at Lake Louise, we could explain how beautiful the view was. The lake was as clear as crystal, and the mountain behind the lake was very mangnificent. The top of that mountain was couvered by ice, and the shadow of the mountain reflected on the lake. It was like a peaceful picture. Then we went to Columbia Ice Feild which located in the National Park. It took our three hours to drove, and  the Ice Field was so huge. We took few pictures about the Ice Field, then we walked onto it. It seemed boundless when we looked at it even closer. This trip was a very great trip that I ever have, and I would like to go there again.

Cultural Mysteries

If you want to start a new life in different country, you need to spend a period of time to know the culture of that country. When I came to Canada, there are so many things that I was not confortable about. People in Canada are so kind and friendly, because if you had a eye contact with them they usually smile, and start talk with you. However, in my own country, people won't talk to a stranger. Also, while in class, once teacher ask you a question, there are always some other people start to shout out the answer. That makes me very unconfortable, and made my feel unrespected by other people. I thought that Canadians like travel a lot, people often go out on their vacations to other place or countries. I do not understand why is this so popular in Canada, maybe it is the life style here.  Because more and more immgrantes are coming, Canada is a multicultured country. People can see different countries' traditional  culture in Canada. It is always very interesting to know other countries's cultuer. There are still many things that I don't know about Canadian's culture, and I hope as long as I live in Canada, I can learn more about Canada.

Snow

This weekend is snowing! Everything is cover by the snow, and the country is changing into a white world. I love snow, because it is so pretty. However, most of the snow is melting. Even though outside is very cold, I like walking in the snow.

These is the view you can see from my house:

The Effect Coming to Canada Had on Me

There are so many effects about coming to Canada, and I learned a lot of things when I came here. Live in a new country is very hard because you need learn many things, such as language, culture, and life style. Since I lived in Canada, it changed my personalities and made me more independent. First, I need learn English and must be good at English, so I can live there, and talk with other people. While I learn English, it help me to build self-confidence. Before I came to Canada, I feel unconfortable about talking in front of a lot of people. However, in Canada, student often need to have presentation in front of the class, so it will help me to practice my English, and help me feel confortable when talk in front of people. Next, I was more independent in Canada than in my hometown. In Canada, the things I did is almost by myself, like live by myself and learn how to live. The most thing that I need get use to is life style in Canada, because it has slow and relax rhythm of life, and very quite. It took a very long time for me to get used to this kind of life style.

New member

Last Wednesday, my house had a new member. She was so small, so pretty, and so cute. She was a little cat which my sister's boyfriend's roomate bought few weeks ago, and the cat was only borned six weeks. The cat was so cute that everyone loves her. However, my sister's boyfriend brought it back to his roomate. Now, I miss her a lot, and I hope I can see her again.

Here are pictures about her:

My Home Town

I was born in Shanghai, China, and I love the city, but I think it has a big problem about education. When I came to Vancouver, I thought the education system was different than Shanghai. In Shanghai, every school's student need wear uniform, and the school has all this rules about how student should look. For example: student cannot wear earrings when they are in school, or if a student's hair is too long, the teacher will ask he/she to cut his/her hair. However, students in Vancouver can wear their own clothes to go to school. Girls can have make-up, and the teacher do not care about student's hair length. I think student in Vancouver have more freedom than student in Shanghai. Moreover, in Shanghai, most teachers are focus on the text book. They do not teach anything else, but the ones in the text book. Therefore, the lesson is very boring. On the other hand, I think the lesson in Vancouver's school is more interesting than the lesson in Shanghai. The student is more thoughtful, and teacher teachs useful thing , not everything in the text book. This is the most big diference between Shanghai and Vancouver.

Here are some picture about Shanghai:

Pools

On Saturday, I went to play pools with my sister and her boyfriend. The place is named Q1, and located at Richmond. Although I am not good at play pools, I often go there with my friends. I like play pools because I think it is very fun, and I feel relax when I play it. In the future, I hope I am good at play pools, but I need spend a lot of time to practice.
